Prior to MAMUN,
all delegations are required to submit
a position paper to be considered for Outstanding Delegation Awards in GA. Drafting such a paper is a very useful process that can clarify and
organize the positions of your nation’s delegates, as well as being useful to
other delegates who will be able to peruse your paper during the conference.
This paper must take the following format:
1) The length of the paper must be between three and five typed, double-spaced, 8½” x 11”
pages. Do not submit position papers on diskette with your resolutions.
2) At least one topic from
each of the General Assembly Committees must be addressed in the paper.
3)
The paper should clearly state the nation's position on each of the
topics covered.
4)
To
be eligible for an OUTSTANDING DELEGATION AWARD, the position paper must be
submitted to MAMUN no later than March
1,
2007. Content of the papers
WILL BE CONSIDERED by staff in making award selections.
Position papers will be evaluated by staff and then displayed in the
Secretariat Office throughout MAMUN. Any
delegation may examine position papers during the conference.
Submit papers to: MAMUN
Position Papers, PO Box 8411, Ann Arbor, MI 48107.
