When the Mid-American Model United Nations was founded in 1991, we recognized the debt we owed to those who had come before us.  The countless volunteers who spent an infinite number of hours creating, building and improving Model United Nations programs in our state. As a means of thanking them and honoring their legacy, we established the Hall of Fame.  Here are the members who have been inducted since 1991:

Peggy Andretz, Advisor from St. Johns High School: over 30 years of bringing delegations to Model UNs across the state.

Dr. Jack Holmes, professor at Hope College: Founder and organizer of the Hope College Model UN.

David Artley, Founder of Eastern Michigan University Model UN and later the Great Lakes Invitational Model United Nations (GLIMUN).

Roy Unnerstall, nearly 30 years of staffing Model UNs in Michigan as well as organizing and running Model UNs in Missouri.

Laurie Trevethan, Advisor from Davison High School and multi-time Secretary General of GLIMUN.

Joe Czarnik, multi-time Secretary Gerneral of Grand Valley Model United Nations and of GLIMUN.

Dr. David Porter, Founder of Grand Valley Model United Nations and longtime GLIMUN staffer.

Frank Rosengren, Advisor from Forest Hills Central High School for over 15 years.

Dorothy Rall, Advisor from East Lansing High School and President of UNA-USA in Michigan.

Robert Ellerbusch, Advisor from Rochester High School for over 20 years.

Richard Ramsdell, Advisor from Flint Central High School for over 20 years and top executive of GLIMUN.

Glenn Ruggles, Advisor from Walled Lake Central High School for 25 years and founder of the Mid-American Model United Nations.

Dr. Jonathan Swift, Advisor from Livonia Stevenson, founder of the School of Global Education in Livonia.

Al Kniss, Advisor from Traverse City High School, and Traverse City West High School for 30 years.
