The Traverse City Historical Security Councils (TCHSC) is one of our three annual conferences. This conference is held in the spring each year at Traverse City Central High School. Here is a list of hotels in Traverse City. Traditionally schools have stayed at the Days Inn.
During the Historical Security Council, delegates are taken back in time to debate issues already decided by the real Security Council. Delegates represent the countries that sat on the Security Council at the time of the original crisis. They have the opportunity to follow a path similar to the real delegations or to break new ground in trying to solve the problems. Delegates are expected to act according to the policies of those countries at that point in history.
Each Delegate is charged $35 to participate. Housing is not included in this cost.
